EEPC-INDIA recognized by the Government as Model EPC is the apex trade promotion body in the engineering sector functioning under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce, Govt of India. Established by Government of India in 1955 to cater the requirements of the engineering sector EEPC for the past 68 years has been at the forefront of trade promotion in the engineering sector. It acts as a catalyst and an interface between the industry and the Government.
Recognizing the need to boost exports from the Amritsar region, EEPC India is organizing an interactive session in Amritsar on 2nd July 2025 (Wednesday), in association with the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) and the MSME Department. The session will be followed by high tea.
This interactive session aims to provide valuable insights into trade facilitation, MSME support schemes, and state-level initiatives. Senior officials from DGFT and the MSME Department will be delivering brief presentations on the latest policies, schemes, and subsidies available for MSMEs, with the objective of creating greater awareness among the industry stakeholders. Mr. Utpal Kumar Acharaya, Joint DGFT, along with Mr. Aashirwad, Consultant at the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, will provide an overview of new tools available for growing your export business through government websites. They will also explain how you can understand global trade markets.
We are also pleased to share that a senior official from the Government of Punjab will be joining the session and engaging directly with our members, providing an important opportunity for dialogue on industrial development and policy support at the state level.

Significance of Laboratory Accreditation and Maintaining Regulatory Norms to promote Engineering Exports
The engineering sector is the vital pillar of India’s industrial landscape and contributes significantly for Indian GDP. It is seen that contribution to Indian exports is largely due to exports of engineering goods and services. This is evident from the fact that out the total export of $395.448 Bn in the last fiscal (April 2024- March 2025) the engineering export was $116.67 Bn. Hence, lot of emphasis given for increase of exports by nurturing new and innovative technology, venturing into new markets and upgradation of existing technology and product to match international quality.Testing, calibration, inspection and pre-shipment inspection from NABL accredited laboratories has become one of the game changers by presenting quality products and following related regulatory norms to make engineering products and services more acceptable to the international buyers. Hence significantly increasing the export market. EEPC India in association with NABL has aptly planned series of capacity building programs to imbibe the significance of accredited testing and compliance of regulatory norms.
