chairman

My dear fellow exporters,

On behalf of EEPC India, we welcome the grant of further exemption to exporters whose IE codes are appearing in caution-list in Export Data Processing and Monitoring System (EDPMS) upto May 20, 2017.

As per RBI norms, exporters are ‘caution listed’ if any shipping bill against them remains open for more than two years (from the date of shipment) in the computerized system called Export Data Processing & Monitoring System (EDPMS) — provided no extension is granted by the RBI or an authorized bank.

Unfortunately, the Authorized Dealers/Banks of exporters did not pay attention to the EDPMS work flow as a result of which there has been a mismatch between actual exports and export realization. It is because of this that many exporters for whom there are no outstanding or the per cent of such outstanding are within the framework of RBI guidelines have been put on the RBI`s caution list.

We request our member exporters and bankers to work in tandem so that all cases where exports payments have been realized are updated in EDPMS by banks while exporters make efforts to realize or regularize the outstanding amount so that they are not placed in the Caution List which otherwise will have serious consequences for their exports.

Members may now view the status of remittance against a particular shipping bill at the ICEGATE of Customs to see whether payment has been realized or not. This can be seen at:

https://www.icegate.gov.in/TrackAtICES/rbiEnquiry

Further, in case your bank refuses to negotiate the document or issue e-BRC for goods transshipped through Iran to a third country accompanied by the composite transport document or to any OFAC country, please inform us at: https://www.eepcindia.org/edpms-system.aspx.

The Mayor of Dire Dawa in Ethiopia has approached the Embassy of India, Addis Ababa to assist them in finding potential Indian investors who are interested to invest in the city administration in various sectors.
