On 6 April, the Ambassador organized a meeting with the representatives of EPC and Indian PSU in the Embassy. During the meeting the Ambassador discussed issues faced by the companies while executing projects in Kuwait and prospects of new business opportunities.
Company License
Kuwaiti Commerce and Industry Ministry`s single-window project and separation of corporate founding and licensing procedures has reportedly been reduced the company founding period from 45 to four days. Khaled Al-Shamali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry reportedly said that anybody can apply for establishing a limited liability or one-person company through a single visit to the single-window department. He further added that online applications could be submitted through the following website: (www.kbc.gov.kw), and then a date could be set for a visit to the one-stop service. Under the license law, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry is the only official authority who can issue trade license.
Peru

Status of Imports in Peru in 2017
On total imports of Peru for the period from January to April of this year, India is in the N°13 position with a figure of $238 million, decreasing 59.4% compared to the same period last year. In the case of imported consumer goods, India currently holds the No. 9 position with $ 88 million, increasing 1.6% over the same period last year.
Regarding capital goods, India is ranked 15th this year with US$ 42 million, dropping 88.8% over last year. On the other hand, in terms of intermediate goods, India is ranked 10th with US$ 108 million exported to Peru, decreasing by 12.7% over the same period last year.

Robot industry plan

Director-General of the Office of Industrial Economics Siriruj Chulakaratana revealed that the office will propose its industrial robotics and automation development plan to Minister of Industry Uttom Saonayon before summiting it to the cabinet in June 2017. Once approved, the plan will lead to over 10 billion baht in investment in 2018. The Board of Investment is considering issuing investment benefits in order to spur further investment. He said that in addition to the industrial sector, investment in automation will also help to support other sectors such as agriculture (smart farming), the social sector (advanced medical devices) and technology etc.
