»  Working Committee is the Apex decision making body of the Council.
»  Members of the Working Committee are the elected representatives of various industry groups called panels.
»  Working Committee also consists of nominated representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and other important Ministries of Government of India, representatives of leading Chambers of Commerce and other Apex Industry Associations.
»  There are various Sub-Committees to look after the territories and products and advise the Working Committee on various policy measures and constrains.
»  The EEPC India Secretariat functions as per the guidelines of Working Committee.

»  Fixes Annual Export Target in line with Government of India's Foreign Trade Policy and decides upon various measures to be undertaken.
»  Acts as an interface between exporters and various Government of India Bodies like DGFT, Customs, Central Excise, RBI, EXIM Bank etc on policy matters related to exports.
»  Organises various Promotional Activities in India and Abroad under MDA/MAI scheme of Government of India.
»  Disseminates a host of useful trade information to member exporters in areas like enquiry, tender, project, trade opportunities, market reports, country reports, trade statistics etc by means of e-mails and hosting in the Council's Website on regular basis. For this purpose Council has a full-fledged Trade Informatic Division.
»  Provides information to overseas buyers about the India's business information and acquainted them with Indian counterparts.
»  Undertakes publicity campaign and brings out publications, film, CDs, market survey reports etc. on regular basis.

»  Merchant Exporters, Government recognise Export and Trading House, Design engineering, Consultancy, Erection, Ship Builders, Ship Repairers, Civil Engineering and Construction firms.
»  Institutions, Chambers of Commerce, Industries and Trade Associations. » Small Scale Units borne on the list of Directorate of Industries or small scale service institutes for export of engineering goods or services of more than Rs. 60 lakhs during the preceding year or such export performance, as may be prescribed by the Working Committee from time to time.
»  Small Scale Units borne on the list of Directorate of Industries or small scale service institutes for export of engineering goods or services of upto Rs. 60 lakhs during the preceding year or such export performance, as may be prescribed by the Working Committee from time to time, provided that any of the Small Scale Unit falling in the above category who voluntary wishes to join the Council as Ordinary Member will be permitted to do so.

»  Annual membership subscription is charged according to export of engineering goods/services made by the firm/company during the year prior to the immediate preceding year as detailed in the following table:

Note:New Applicants are required to pay annual subscription as per slab given above (based on their export performance during the year prior to immediate preceding year) and admission fees of Rs. 2000/- along with Service Tax as applicable thereon.

Any person, applying for (i) a licence/certificate/permission to import/export, [except items listed as restricted items in ITC9HS)] or (ii) any other benefit or concession under this policy shall be required to furnish Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) granted by the competent authority in accordance with the procedure specified in the Handbook (Vol. 1) unless specifically exempted under the Policy.
