About the Exhibition

Automechanika Frankfurt is the world’s leading trade fair for the automotive service industry. The trade fair takes place since 1971 and is held every two years, organized by Messe Frankfurt. 133,000 professional visitors from 170 countries attended the last show where 4,843 exhibitors presented their innovations, products and solutions. In 2018 Automechanika Frankfurt celebrates its 25th anniversary with many new topics such as Classic Cars and the co-located show REIFEN in the exhibition.

The 25th Automechanika Frankfurt takes place from 11 to 15 September 2018 at the Messe Frankfurt fairgrounds.

Automechanika Frankfurt is the leading trade fair for equipment, parts, accessories, management & services. As an international meeting place for industry, workshop and trade, the fair is one of the most important platforms for technological and economic knowledge transfer.

The trends have helped the financial and technical superiority of the developed countries towards the advancement of the developing countries. In the second quarter of 2017, the industry has reported a growth of 9.3 % to Sri Lanka’s GDP compared to the previous year.

As a support to the development of the Sri Lankan construction industry, CIOB together with LECS organize “Construction Expo” for the 7th consecutive year at BMICH. Many major Sri Lankan construction industry suppliers will showcase their green accredited products at the exhibition joining CIOB’s motto towards a “Greener Built Sri Lanka”.

Construction Expo is considered at Sri Lanka’s largest and most focused construction industry related exhibition. This exhibition is held annually for the 7th successive year at BMICH with all leading stakeholders and key service providers within the building, housing and construction industry taking part.

Note: The above subsidized rate of Rs.31,000 per sqm. will be applicable only upto 9 sqm. For additional area as may be required, the applicable rate will be Rs.43,250 per sqm

Economic Scenario & Automotive Sector

Germany’s Economic Outlook: A $4.15 trillion economy with around 80 million population; is the largest in Europe and second most populous country in Europe. The German economy suffers with low level of investment and the government plans to invest around 15 billion Euros during 2016-18, majorly in infrastructure to boost the private investment.

Germany has moved from a budget deficit of 4.1% in 2010, 0.8% in 2011 to a budget surplus of 0.7% in 2017, due to lower spending and higher tax revenues. Germany's GDP has grown from 1.7% in 2015 to 1.9% in 2016. GDP is expected to grow in FY18, and will be largely driven by domestic consumption, investment, and exports with country’s budget and trade surpluses are probable to remain high.
